Terms of Service

Effective date: 25 June 2026

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of Reviewsaur(the “Service”), operated by Rafał Graniczny, a sole proprietor based in Poland (“Reviewsaur”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Service, or by connecting it to your GitHub organization, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and “you” refers to that entity.

1. The Service

Reviewsaur generates interactive quizzes from GitHub pull requests. Reviewers must pass a quiz before they approve or merge a pull request, helping teams confirm that changes are genuinely understood. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

2. Accounts & eligibility

  • You must sign in with GitHub and be a member of a Reviewsaur team to use the core features. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old and capable of forming a binding contract.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for the actions of your team members.
  • Team administrators control who may join their team, connect repositories, and manage settings and billing.

3. Plans, billing & trials

  • The Service is offered under Free and paid plans. The features and limits of each plan are described on our pricing page.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) until cancelled. By subscribing, you authorize us and Stripe to charge your payment method for the applicable fees.
  • You can cancel at any time through the customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and, except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
  • We may change our prices. We will give reasonable advance notice of price changes that affect your subscription, and changes apply from your next billing period.
  • You are responsible for any taxes associated with your use of the Service, other than taxes on our net income.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
  • connect repositories or submit content you do not have the right to process;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems, or interfere with their normal operation;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except to the extent permitted by law;
  • resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties except as expressly permitted;
  • circumvent or attempt to defeat the quiz mechanism in a way that undermines its purpose, or use the Service to mislead your team about who completed a review;
  • use the Service to build a competing product or to scrape or harvest data.

We may suspend or terminate access that violates these Terms or that poses a risk to the Service or other users.

5. Your content & GitHub authorization

“Customer Content” means the code, pull requests, settings, and other data you or your team make available to the Service. As between you and us, you and your team retain all rights to your Customer Content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, and transmit Customer Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you, including sending pull request diffs to our AI provider to generate and grade quizzes.

When you install the Reviewsaur GitHub App, you authorize it to access your repositories and act on GitHub in accordance with the permissions you grant (such as reading pull requests and code and posting status checks and comments). You can revoke this access at any time through your GitHub settings, which will disable the corresponding features.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to grant this access and to process the relevant code, and for complying with any obligations you owe to third parties (for example, employer or client policies).

6. AI-generated content

Quizzes, questions, grading, and feedback are generated using automated AI systems. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable in a given context. Reviewsaur is a tool to support code review — it is not a substitute for professional judgment, and passing a quiz does not guarantee that a change is correct, secure, or fit for purpose. You are responsible for your own review and merge decisions.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding Customer Content), is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding. We welcome feedback, and you agree we may use any feedback you provide without obligation to you.

8. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party services, including GitHub, Stripe, and our AI provider. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them. Availability of the Service may depend on these third parties.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that AI-generated output will be accurate.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) EUR 100.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your Customer Content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

12. Term & termination

These Terms apply for as long as you use the Service. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or comply with law. On termination, the provisions that by their nature should survive — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law — will survive.

13. Changes to the Service & Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms from time to time. For material changes to these Terms, we will revise the effective date above and take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

14. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence. The courts competent for the Operator’s place of business in Poland will have jurisdiction over disputes, subject to any mandatory rules that allow you to bring proceedings elsewhere.
